Community Cafe

The community café is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11.00am -2.00pm and is hugely popular with the local community. The food is healthy, delicious and by far the best value in town; the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and no matter how busy we are, there’s always time for a blether. If you want to meet new people, catch up with old friends or find out what’s going on in the local area, the community café is the place to be.

Until this year, the café was run exclusively by volunteers but, thanks to Big Lottery funding, some of our long-standing café assistants are now employees, which has enabled us to open the café two days per week. The café couldn’t operate without our brilliant dedicated team of volunteers who ensure a warm welcome for everyone.

Already this year we have expanded our menu to include toasted sandwiches and a choice of soup. Our fab cooks are planning further additions to the menu for the summer term such as ice-cream milkshakes.

Come along and have a taste- with delicious homemade soup for £1 and 3 course meal-deals at £2.70….you won’t regret it.
