The youth club is on in the church on Sunday night from 7.00-8.30pm. It is for young people in S1 – S3 living in North Motherwell and provides a safe, relaxed and friendly environment where young people can come together and participate in various activities or just ‘chill’ with friends. The young people attend all 3 Motherwell secondary schools so the youth club gives them an ideal opportunity to mix with and form friendships with others whom they may not otherwise have met.
It is led by a dedicated team of volunteers and regular activities include: cooking; table tennis; pool; indoor archery; badminton; arts & crafts and football. We also have occasional ‘one-off’ activities such as our recent trip to Airspace (the trampoline centre in East Kilbride), an internet café night with support from North Lanarkshire Community Learning and Development, six weeks of graffiti art, and music sessions with Reel Time.
If you are interested in volunteering at the youth club, and have skills to offer, please contact Jacqueline on 01698 268250.
